Welcome to the new look Manchester Go-Ride Racing League for 2013
2013 is going to be an exciting year for Go-Ride Racing across Manchester. Please take the time to have a good look around the website to see what's happening. There are lots of races planned and lots of chances to meet likeminded people who are new to cycling.
The Manchester Go-Ride Racing league was originally set up in 2010 and had a small number of Manchester cycling clubs involved to help run each event. Since then a lot of hard work has taken place, now, in 2013 we have 11 cycling clubs supporting the league. Each club involved is passionate about young riders and is promoting the league to help new riders become better bike riders. The Go-Ride Race League is aimed at all riders at Go-Ride School and Club Level that are new to racing.
Over the year we will be racing at different venues across different disciplines. The league will have representatives from each of the Manchester clubs, plus, for the first time we now have clubs from outside Manchester who have become part of the Go-Ride Race League. Each club involved in the league are now leading in the delivery of their own race with support from the other clubs. Once riders have experienced riding different disciplines the league will support the riders who feel they can move on from the Manchester League into regional racing.
New for 2013
The league will be introducing 'Taster Sessions' so that prior to a Go-Ride Race riders can drop into a local session to experience that discipline. There will be a cost to these sessions as they will be bolted onto a local club session but it aims to give riders the experience they need to get more from the Go-Ride Race.
